Fostering Our Youth

ERIC JOHNSON

Eric is the Vice-President of Fostering Our Youth (FOY) and has been serving in this position since its inception. Additionally, for the last 14 years he has been serving as an active duty officer in the United States Air Force. Eric serves as the Logistics Chief for another 501c non-profit organization called Legacy Flight Academy (LFA). LFA introduces Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs to underrepresented and disenfranchised youth mainly through aviation. Eric has had the opportunity to mentor the next generation through multiple avenues of effort through both non-profit organizations.

Eric has always had a huge passion for mentoring and at an early age saw the positive impact that mentoring can have on a child’s life. He was born in Prince Georges County, Maryland and moved around as a military child, until his family found their way back home. Once back in Maryland, Eric found positive role models whom he accredits for his own love for mentorship and guidance. Due to his own personal experiences he is a true believer in the phrase, “it takes a village to raise a child”. Eric hopes through all efforts, he can contribute to creating a village of confidence for other children.
